Special forcible means training for guards
Guards may carry firearms, gas sprays and telescopic batons only if they have undergone special forcible means training meeting the requirements approved by the Ministry of the Interior and if they have annually demonstrated evidence of sufficient skill in handling and shooting firearms. Temporary guards are not allowed to carry firearms.
Special forcible means training consists of a general section and a special section relating to firearms, gas sprays and telescopic batons. The aim of training is that guards become familiar with the principles of self-defence, emergency situations and other powers related to forcible means and that they know how to use the forcible means equipment they are carrying. Furthermore, the aim is to introduce them such social skills that they can act in threatening situations and prevent them from occurring in a justifiable and otherwise acceptable manner.
