Bicycles and mopeds

The finder of a lost bicycle or moped will not will be granted ownership of it. Instead, if the owner is not found, the bicycle or moped is auctioned, and the finder is entitled to one third of the purchase price.

Neither will finders be granted ownership of documents which can be cancelled and whose owner is not known, nor of medication, keys, identity papers, permits, bank or credit cards or other similar property or property the purchase and possession of which requires a licence (unless the person is in the possession of such a licence).

Unauthorized possession of lost property is comparable to embezzlement or petty embezzlement, which are punishable offences.
